Our constantly evolving database and search algorithms acquire lists of items that may be unsafe. Nanotrum's SafeHealthyFood combines predictive algorithms with big data sets from the food industry to help itself, the FDA and other public health departments, and consumers identify the source of food poisoning and allergic outbreaks. This app checks the food ingredients and acts a reliable Food Safeguard. It is well known that many chemicals exist in our food. Some of them could be harmful to health and even life-threatening.

The SafeHealthyFood system aims to take food information, including that from supermarket food labels and ingredient data about various food items sold in the U.S. Our system compiles a list of products that might be "guilty." Our innovative search and recognition algorithms provide a probability for the likelihood that each item in the ingredient list could cause food safety concerns. This software is to detect what harmful ingredients might be mixed in foods. SafeHealthyFood gives the answers people want about risks in our food. To serve this vast food safety request for public, we build a huge knowledge base to search and index the chemicals. Our Knowledge Engineering team builds the big data software, and this app generates, stores, and processes the big food safety data via cloud computing. We apply technical knowledge to a virtual network platform to collect, translate, analyze, monitor, illustrate, and notify consumers about particular characteristics of a food product.

Food Safety

One of the major laws is the Food Safety Modernization ACT, which was signed into law in January 2011. "ABA (American Bakers Association) agrees that a one-size-fits-all approach is not appropriate in the food safety context, and that flexibility is critical," said Lee Sanders, ABA Senior Vice President, Government Relations and Public Affairs. "We support the general framework set forth by the Food & Drug Administration in its Current Good Manufacturing Practice and Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls for Human Food proposed rule."



In a knowledge-based platform, we set the design guideline of an explicit form of knowledge that contains procedural knowledge information.

Our knowledge scheme integrates the most updated safety rules and regulations, and our index system provides the most reliable safeguard of food in a real-time execution mode.

Connectivity in Cyberspace

SafeHealthyFood connects users and food in the cyberspace through cell phones, tablets and other mobile devices. Our system applies Optical Character Recognition (OCR) to take in food QR codes or the ingredients from packaging labels and provides a real-time analysis and report of the food safety checking.



Information Collection

SafeHealthyFood applies cloud computing and network virtualization technologies to support mobile online analysis in real-time mode. Given the scanned food ingredient information, users get a real-time alert of the safety report.

Network Crawling and Search Engine

The US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA), European Scientific Committee for Food (EURO-SCF) and other international organizations periodically publish food safety codes. Our knowledge base includes not only the government regulation and rules, but also the chemicals that are used in other industries. We developed an online integrated data management system as the base of our knowledge system.

In many cases the characteristics of a product are likely to exceed the knowledge base of a single database entity. Practically, there exists a wide range of specialized fields of engineering, and considering the whole life cycle of a product will require more than engineering expertise. Our search engine will intelligently crawl the space to search and index food safety data more efficiently.

Big Data, External Search Engine and Data Indexing

SafeHealthyFood includes a dedicated search engine that can crawl the network space and search data from various available resources. Our data scientists developed an advanced data map to index efficiently in a network virtualization server environment.

SafeHealthyFood builds a cognitive analytical platform that tightly integrates the problem and knowledge spaces, various filtering schemes are deployed in data mining and process to yield an efficient and comprehensive search to quickly identify food safety concerns. Food Safety Exploration

SafeHealthyFood uses a food ingredient search and build-up knowledge base. Keyword input and arrangement of the relative chemicals are displayed on a screen of windows. It can divide all related information into a piece-by-piece view for easy review. In the meantime, it can hide detail related knowledge on the screen when the user searches and arranges to view the information.
